Out of Hours cover is changing
From Tuesday 17 July 2018, patients across Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire who need urgent out-of-hours medical help or advice will no longer call Shropdoc. They will need to call 111.
The 111 service will replace the current out-of-hours GP telephone access service provided by Shropdoc in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
There is also a new ‘ASK NHS’ app designed to improve access to NHS 111 and other local NHS services. Advice is delivered by the virtual clinician ‘Olivia’ and she takes you through the steps of the symptom checker which can result in the booking of a GP appointment, access to NHS choices, a call back from a clinical expert or access to self-care. You can download the ‘Ask NHS’ app via Google Play (for Android phones) or Apple App Store (for iPhones). If you need more guidance on how to download the app please click here.
Patients living in Wales should continue to use the Shropdoc number
Complaints about the new service should be directed to Telford and Wrekin CCG, NHS Telford and Wrekin, Halesfield 6, Telford TF7 4BF

We take Data Protection very seriously. Our first priority is the safety of our patient's data.
In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, Court Street Medical Practice does not charge patients for a copy of their medical records. We may charge a handling fee to send information to a third party at the patient's request but the information itself will be available for the patient to collect free of charge at reception up on production of suitable ID.
If you request us to send your information to a third party, you should be aware that Court Street Medical Practice accepts no responsibility for sensitive information whilst in transit using standard postage. We prefer to send sensitive information via Recorded Delivery but the NHS does not pay for this and the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 do not make this mandatory. We give everyone the choice to pay for Tracked delivery with Royal Mail. Where this is refused, the information will be made available at reception for the patient to collect up on production of suitable ID.
