We take Data Protection very seriously. Our first priority is the safety of our patient's data.

In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, Court Street Medical Practice does not charge patients for a copy of their medical records. We may charge a handling fee to send information to a third party at the patient's request but the information itself will be available for the patient to collect free of charge at reception up on production of suitable ID.

If you request us to send your information to a third party, you should be aware that Court Street Medical Practice accepts no responsibility for sensitive information whilst in transit using standard postage. We prefer to send sensitive information via Recorded Delivery but the NHS does not pay for this and the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 do not make this mandatory. We give everyone the choice to pay for Tracked delivery with Royal Mail. Where this is refused, the information will be made available at reception for the patient to collect up on production of suitable ID.
